Irene McCormack
Irene McCormack (1938–1991) was an Australian nun and missionary who devoted her life to missionary work in Peru. She was born in Wyndham and became a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart. Irene McCormack played a significant role in providing education and support to the indigenous Peruvian people. She tragically lost her life in 1991 while serving as a missionary in Peru.
Fraser Carlisle
Fraser Carlisle is a former Australian rules footballer hailing from Kununurra, within the region of Wyndham East Kimberley. He played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Carlisle made his debut in 2002 and went on to play 43 games for the club.
